- Before going to bed each night, put some petroleum jelly, castor oil or olive oil on the tip of your index finger (or an unused mascara brush) and stroke your finger a few times over your lashes. Then, apply the jelly or oil to your eyebrow, moving from the center out. Repeat this process five times. If you're getting ready to go out, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly on your brows and eyelids.

Stimulate eyebrow growth and color by making a strong brew of sage tea. After straining the tea through muslin, measure 1 pint into a container and add 1 tablespoon of alcohol. Use an unused mascara brush to apply this tried-and-true mixture to your eyebrows.
You also could use sage leaves. Place 2 cups of fresh sage leaves (or 1 cup of dried leaves) in a saucepan and add 3/8 of a cup of filtered or mineral water. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Allow it to cool and then strain the mixture through cheesecloth or a sieve. Put 1 tablespoon of this mixture into a bottle and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Shake the mixture well and use a brush to apply on your brows and lashes each night. -
If you want a temporary tool to darken your brows and lashes, use eyeliner, mascara, an eyebrow pencil or a set of false eyelashes. Select a brow color that matches your hair color and skin tone (though your choice will depend on what kind of contrast you want between your hair color and brow color; if you go too dark, you may look older than your age).
Powder colors may give you more options. If you use an eyebrow powder, wash the applicator brush and air-dry after every two to three uses (you do not want it to have too much powder on it. Otherwise the brush drags, skips and spills a lot of color). If you use a pencil, sharpen it before each use.
Generally, if you have dark hair, try one or two shades lighter for your brows. If you have light hair, try one or two shades darker.
