Conceiving a child can be easy for some couples and exceptionally difficult for others. If you or someone you know want to add a child to the family, there are a few easy-to-get vitamins that are thought to help a couple conceive a child.

    Vitamin C

  1. Vitamin C is thought to help aid in conception for a variety of reasons. Vitamin C helps make the walls of your blood vessels stronger and helps to fight infections, which could cause potential problems with a woman's fertility. Vitamin C is also thought to increase the amount of water that is in a woman's cervical mucus, essentially making more mucus and making her more likely to conceive.
  2. Nitric Oxide

  3. Nitric oxide increases the blood flow to the reproductive organs, helping in conception. Nitric oxide is also thought to help increase cervical mucus, which can aid in conception.
  4. Vitamins B6 and B12

  5. Vitamins B6 and B12 both help promote good health of the reproductive organs. Vitamin B6 is a good choice for the female in the relationship to take and is thought to increase fertility. Vitamin B12, when taken by men, is thought to increase a low sperm count, making it more likely for fertilization to occur.
  6. Vitamin E

  7. Vitamin E is often given to men when their partner is undergoing in vitro fertilization, and has been proven to increase a couple's chance of conceiving though in vitro by 10 percent. The antioxidant helps the reproductive organs run efficiently and is often referred to as the "anti-sterility vitamin."
