- Make a blanket out of gold yarn or fabric and thread. Embroider the names of the couple and their wedding date onto the blanket to personalize it. Using gold yarn crochet or knit the blanket and then use needlework to add the embroidery. You can also include a short, sweet message in the embroidery. Perhaps a line from their vows, a line of their favorite poem or song or something sweet they say to one another.
- Create a scrapbook or video montage with all the pictures arranged by year. Include photos of them through the years as a couple and as individuals. If making a video then add in some music from each era to set the mood. For a scrapbook, find one with exactly 50 pages then create one page for each year of their marriage. For a photo montage video you can either make it fifty minutes long with one minute for each year of marriage or fifty photos total, one photo for each year of marriage.
- Make some homemade custom gold candles and carve the names of the couple and their wedding date into the side of the candles. Do this by completely wrapping the candle in masking tape then transferring the design (names and date) onto the candle with carbon paper. Carve the design 1/8 inch deep with a sharp knife then melt colored wax and fill in the carved out sections so the design stands out. When the wax cools scrape the wax so it's even with the candle's surface and remove the tape. Wrap them up nicely in gold wrapping paper or tulle.
- Make a shadow box filled with items from the year the couple was married. This might include stamps, books, a newspaper or other memorabilia. Also put a photo of the couple from that year, their wedding photo or otherwise.
