Maintenance and Troubleshooting

It's important to keep the clock in an environment that does not have any moisture, so keeping your clock in the bathroom would be the worst place. You have to keep the clock in a normal temperature room so that the clock's lifespan is preserved. If you need to clean the clock or if it's semi-dirty, don't submerge the clock in water. Only clean it with a soft damp cloth. Use a soap and water solution, but do not soak the clock with water. If you need to troubleshoot the clock, the issue will, for the most part, appear on the clock.

How To Replace The Batteries

If a low battery icon appears on the clock, plug it into a different electrical outlet first. If that doesn't work, you need to reset the clock. The reset button is on the control panel of the clock. If that doesn't work, you most likely need to replace the batteries. Unfortunately, the clock doesn't take just any battery that you have lying around your house. A DC 8V adapter and a backup CR2430 battery are included when you purchase the clock. If you need another battery, a replacement battery can be purchased at a jewelry store. When you want to replace the battery, first you need to use a screwdriver to remove the compartment door. Then, you'll remove the old batteries and replace them with new ones.

Setting Time Zone, Format, Alarm and Radio

After you plug in the clock, it automatically adjusts to an Eastern time zone. If that's your time zone, you're all set. If you need to change the time zone, you have to remove the cover of the control, which is located on the bottom of the clock, to change the time zone. Then, you'll set the switch to the appropriate time zone. If you want to make sure your clock changes with daylight saving time, press the "On" position. It will automatically change the clock on the first Sunday in March and November. The clock also has a 24-hour format or a 12-hour format. Most Americans use the 12-hour schedule, but if you prefer the 24-hour format, you can change the switch. If you need to set the alarm, the alarm setting is on the back.
