Movie theaters often use cardboard standees to promote movies. They grab attention, they are fun and some people even like taking photos with them. You can similarly use a cardboard standee to get your business noticed. For personal use, the possibilities are endless. Use it to spice up party decorations, for pranks or to have a celebrity live in your room. Make a head-sized hole to turn it into a photo-op standee at events.
Step 1
Prepare a picture for the cardboard standee. If you want to make a life-sized standee, use a camera with at least seven megapixel resolution or higher.

Store the picture in a USB stick.
Step 3
Take the USB stick to a copy shop and request that they print it to your size specifications.
Step 4
Glue the printed picture onto a piece of cardboard. Use a clean foam paint roller to go over the picture to minimize bubbles and wrinkles.
Step 5
Cut the cardboard to follow the outline of the picture.
Step 6
Cut out a smaller piece of triangular cardboard to serve as a base. Create a small flap where the base would meet the main piece and attach it at a 90-degree angle to the back of the main cardboard piece.
