The Cricut Expression is a unique tool to create beautiful craft projects. You can use a Cricut Expression to create more than just paper crafts---it can be used as a household tool as well. There are many different craft projects that you can do using your Cricut Expression machine that are easy enough for your whole family to enjoy.

All-Occasion Cards

  • Use your Cricut Expression to create beautiful cards for any season. First, decide on a theme or occasion for the card. Then gather your materials.

Make sure you have enough paper on hand, as well as adhesive, embellishments and the appropriate Cricut cartridge for this project. Choose graphics on the Cricut cartridge that fit the theme of your card, and make sure that you have coordinating paper. Most people will choose a 5.5-inch x 4.25-inch card size, but it depends on personal preference.

Cut the decorations out using your Cricut Expressions and assemble your card. Embellish your finished card with brads, eyelets and even ribbon.

Scrapbook Pages

  • Cut out embellishments and titles with your Cricut Expressions machine to coordinate with patterned paper when making scrapbook pages. All you need are adhesive, paper, embellishments and some photographs to create beautiful scrapbook pages.

Select photographs that you would like to include onto your scrapbook page. Depending on the size of the photos and the size of the page, this may only be one photo, or as many as three or four. At this time you can crop your photos or even cut them into shapes. Next, lay out your page.

Select a sheet of paper that goes with the theme of the photos. This could be a coordinating color cardstock or even a patterned paper. Decide what kind of embellishments you would like to cut with your Cricut Expression. You can even create a scrapbook title on your machine. Choose papers for these embellishments and insert the appropriate cartridge. Cut the embellishments to fit the page and arrange them in any way you would like. Add your photos and you have created a beautiful page to show off to your family and friends.
