Long hair are versatile and can be styled in numerous different ways. With the use of hairstyling tools and styling cosmetics, you can create quick and easy hairstyles for your dark brown long hair. Dark brown hair is compatible with different colored pins, claws, and rubber bands too. Good hairstyles for dark brown long hair include braids, buns, and customizing hair left loose.

    French Braid

  1. French braids are popular among women with long hair. It can be dressed up with pins studded in each section of the braid to give a dazzling look. To make a french braid, divide the hair into three sections starting from the hairline, slightly above the ears. As you work the braid down, keep adding a section alternately from each side so that the braid looks woven. Do not braid the hair very tightly as it might pull at your scalp if you braid it tight.
  2. Ballerina Bun

  3. A ballerina bun can be worn high on top of your head or lower, according to your choice. Decorate the bun with headbands or barrettes, depending on the occasion. To create a ballerina bun, brush your hair back into a tight ponytail. Secure the ponytail with an elastic band matching your hair color. Since you have dark brown hair, use a brown or black band.

Start twirling the hair around the band in a clockwise direction, fanning out the twisted section slightly to cover the band. Once you have gone around the band so that all the hair is twisted around, use bobby pins to secure the ends of the ponytail into your hair around the bun. Use small pins so that they are not noticeable. Again, since you have dark brown hair, the black pins you use will not be visible around the bun.

Take a small section of hair out from the front to create bangs or a twisted tendril to add a touch of class. Use mousse or gel on the hair to make it sleek and tame flyaways.
  4. Swiss Braid

  5. A swiss braid is a variation of the traditional braid and is suitable for formal parties or proms. To make a swiss braid, part the hair equally from the center from the front to the back. Braid the left section of the hair into a regular three-strand braid. Secure the braid with an elastic band to match your hair. You can use a black or brown band for your brown hair. Take the braid around your head from the back and secure it on the right side.

Follow the same process for the right section of the hair, securing it all the way over to the left side. You will now have two braids secured in opposite directions. Decorate your swiss braid with pins and barrettes to add a festive touch.
