Oganic Pet Urine Odor Removal
Most products available to clean up pet urine accidents are made with chemicals that can be harmful to your animals and family. As people become more environmentally conscious, they want products that are organic and non-toxic. Most often, the best way to organically clean up urine depends on where the accident has occurred.

Wood

Many apartments and homes have hardwood floors. Though it may seem easy enough to wipe up urine, if it is not cleaned properly pet urine can damage the wood. The first step is to clean up as much of the urine as possible with paper towels. Then, make a solution that is 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar. Using a mop that has been dipped in this solution, but not dripping with it, apply it to the area of the spill. Though the house may smell slightly of vinegar, all urine smells will be eliminated.
Furniture

A similar solution can be applied to urine on furniture. Since most furniture will absorb urine, it is important to quickly take care of the spill. Rather than create the solution in a mop bucket, make it in a spray bottle this time. If the stain has not yet set, pick up as much as urine as you can with a paper towel. Then spray the vinegar solution over the spot. Then, use a cloth to scrub the affected area, taking care that you're not rubbing in the urine. The solution will then need some time to dry.
Carpetting

Finally, the same vinegar and water solution that worked on both furniture and wood floors will work on carpets. For a carpet, you can just cover the affected area with the solution, allowing the fabric to soak it up. As with furniture, use a cloth to scrub the area and then allow it to dry. When dry, sprinkle some baking soda over the spot on the carpet. The best method is to scrub in the baking soda, allow it to set for 10 minutes and then vacuum it up. This will help take care of any odors.
