Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in and around the anus. They can appear as red lumps. Hemorrhoids are very painful and can even cause some rectal bleeding. It is best to begin treating them as soon as possible so that you are no longer in pain. Treatment will also make the hemorrhoids go away faster.

    Aloe Vera

  1. Aloe vera is well known for its healing abilities. It comes in the form of a juice you can drink, and a gel you can use topically anywhere on your body. Aloe will not only work to heal your hemorrhoid, it will also soothe the hemorrhoid and relieve the pain. Just purchase a bottle of the gel at any pharmacy or department store and set the gel directly on the hemorrhoid. Do this several times per day, or whenever you feel uncomfortable or in pain.
  2. Zinc Oxide

  3. Zinc oxide comes in a cream available at pharmacies and drugstores. Zinc oxide does two things. It works to heal your hemorrhoid by reducing the inflammation and relieves pain. Wash and dry the anus and then squirt some zinc oxide on a cotton ball. Then wipe the cotton ball on your hemorrhoid. Do this several times per day.
  4. Witch Hazel

  5. Witch hazel is very inexpensive and usually can be found in the aisle with rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. You can even get it in little round pads. Pour the witch hazel on a cotton ball, or use one of the pads. Wipe it generously on your hemorrhoid. Witch hazel is very cool and soothes the hemorrhoid. It also reduced inflammation, which will get rid of some of the pain. It is safe to use as often as necessary.
