Many people deal with the embarrassing condition of excessive sweating. Excessive sweating is caused by diet, overexposure to the sun, being overweight or not getting enough exercise. While sweating is normally a natural process to keep your body cool, excessive sweating occurs when you are sitting idle—not exercising—or when you feel nervous. You will be happy to know that apple cider vinegar is a proven excessive sweating treatment, and can be applied to the armpits, face and hands to keep you sweat free.
Apple Cider Vinegar to Treat Excessive Armpit Sweating
Applying vinegar to your armpits as an excessive sweating treatment is best applied at night. First, shower and clean the area around the armpits to ensure the skin is free of oil and dirt. After showering, soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and rub it into and around the armpit area.
Upon waking in the morning, clean the area and apply deodorant as you would normally. The apple cider vinegar along with your normal deodorant will prove effective at keeping your armpit pores closed and sweat free.
Apple Cider Vinegar to Treat Excessive Face Sweating
Apple cider vinegar can be applied similarly to your face as an excessive sweating treatment. While your excessive face sweating could be caused by a bigger problem such as anxiety—especially a consideration if you drink coffee in the morning—apple cider vinegar can be used to get you through that important morning meeting.
In the morning before going to work, wash your face with a gentle soap. Soak a cotton swab in apple cider vinegar and apply to your face. Wash the apple cider vinegar off with cool water. The apple cider vinegar combined with the cool water will act as a stringent, keeping your facial pores closed while giving you a refreshing lift. You can do this as needed throughout your day to address your excessive face sweating, although be careful not to overdo it as you may irritate your skin.
Apple Cider Vinegar to Treat Excessive Hand Sweating
Hand sweating (or sweaty palms) can be a problem if you shake hands with several different business partners throughout your day. Sweaty palms can be a direct result of nervousness in anticipation of stressful meetings, presentations or even social events such as weddings and graduations.
Wash your hands with a mild soap and then pour one to two cups of apple cider vinegar into a small bowl. Soak each of your hands in the mixture for around five minutes and then wash away the vinegar again with mild soap. While you may use this mixture several times throughout the day, be careful not to overdo it and cause your skin to be irritated. If your skin feels irritated after soaking them in apple cider vinegar, stop the soaking immediately.
