Give homemade Christian-themed Christmas gifts to all of your Christian friends. Create elaborate or simple Christian-themed gifts to give in bulk or to that special someone. Bible-themed Christmas ornaments, fabric crafts, edible gifts and paper crafts can work for most gift-giving occasions.
Give homemade Christmas ornaments. Create cross-shaped, star or angel ornaments from clay. Use colored craft clay and cookie-cutter shapes to make ornaments. Hot glue lace to the edges of the ornaments or paint the finished ornaments with a thin mixture of glitter glue and water to make them sparkle. Use pipe cleaners and gem-colored beads to make star ornaments, or cut religious Christmas cards into ornament shapes and paint them with a thin layer of glitter glue. Make porcelain ornaments. Paint them at home or visit a pottery store where you can paint ornaments and have them glazed. Select nativity figures, stars or crosses. Paint your own Bible-inspired ornaments on miniature canvases. Paint sheep with a shepherd, a basket of loaves and fishes or an image from your favorite Bible story.
Bible Inspired Fabric Crafts
Create needle felted pieces. Make Bible figures, Christmas stars or cross displays. Cross-stitch or machine-embroider inspirational verses onto fabric. Choose a verse like Isaiah 2:2 which reads, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it," or Isaiah 40:31 which states, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it." Stitch flowers or decorative borders around the verses. Frame the piece with a nice picture frame. Make throw pillows using lighthouse printed fabric, or fabric with verses printed on them. Make an easy tied-fringe polar fleece blanket using Christian themed fabric -- lighthouses, the Last Supper or crosses.
Bible-Themed Edible Gifts
Make cutout sugar cookies. Use star-shaped cookie cutters, dove cookie cutters or cross cookie cutter shapes. Bake homemade bread and wrap it in a plastic bag. Tie it closed with a ribbon and attach a tag with the recipe. Write the reference for the passage found in John 6:1-4 on it, where Jesus feeds the 5,000 people with loaves and fishes. Give a gift basket featuring Bible foods like dates, figs and unleavened bread.
Bible Inspired Paper Crafts
Make handcrafted magnets to add to larger gifts or for small quick and easy gift needs. Create fancy magnets using acrylic shapes, printed Bible verses or pictures and decoupage glue. Use card stock, printed Bible verses and self-adhesive magnets to create inexpensive paper magnets. Make bookmarks from colored card stock. Use decorative-edged scissors to make finished edges. Punch a hole in the center top and add embroidery floss or ribbon. Select a Bible verse like Philippians 4:13 which states, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me," or John 8:12 where Jesus states, "I am the light of the world." Design personalized cards. Use card stock or blank note cards. Paint or draw Bible-inspired images on the front of the card, or use scrapbooking accessories to decorate the card. Draw a simple cross constructed from nails or a lighthouse shining light on a tumultuous ocean.
