Buying a man a gift for Valentine's Day can be challenging because Valentine's Day is often seen as a romantic holiday for women. Men are expected to surprise the woman they love with a romantic gesture. To buy a gift for a man for Valentine's Day, you have to be a little more creative and really think about what his interests.

    Romantic Gifts

  1. Instead of putting all the pressure on the man in your life to plan a romantic evening, do the planning yourself. Make reservations at his favorite restaurant, and check the movie listings ahead of time to pick out a movie you know he wanted to see. At the end of your night, give him a new piece of lingerie for yourself in a gift bag along with some body oil and possibly a bottle of champagne, if you both drink.

Write him a letter telling him why you love him so much, and then slip it into the pocket of clothes he wears to work. If you know wear he likes to eat lunch while at work, buy him a gift card, and put it in his wallet with a note telling him to have a great lunch.
  2. Sporty Gifts

  3. If he is into baseball, buy him a week at the baseball fantasy camp of his favorite team. Fantasy camps cost any where from $1200 to $5,000 depending on the team you go with. See Resources for a list of possible baseball fantasy camps. If he also loves to travel, you can arrange a trip for him to play baseball in one of 12 countries offering baseball camps for adults.

If your man is more into speed, you can buy him time in a real race car with a real race car driver. The Dale Jarret Racing Adventure will allow him to ride in a race car traveling up to 165 miles per hour. You can buy him three laps at $150 up to 40 laps at $2,495.

If he just likes to watch sports, and doesn't really want to be apart of the action, buy him a new large-screen TV to watch sports on, or a recliner for him to relax in while watching a game.

If you need a gift which is a little less pricey or closer to where you live, you can buy him lessons in his favorite sport. Buy a package of tickets for his favorite team. You can buy a nice display case for any sports keepsakes he may already own. If he plays golf, buy him a gift certificate to the golf course, or go a step further and call some of his golfing buddies to arrange a golf outing for him.
  4. Personalized Gift

  5. Take his favorite picture of the two of you and have it transferred onto canvas. You can have it done through a company called All Pop Art, and it will cost from $135 to $272, depending on the size of the finished product.
