- Dowsing can be accomplished using a pendulum--any small, weighty object attached to a length of string or chain--and a board on which are printed the words "Yes" and "No." Grace explains that the dowser must train himself to allow the pendulum to swing on its own; beginning dowsers interfere as much as 30 percent of the time (and the pendulum, if asked, will tell you exactly how much you are interfering.) There are other methods, such as dowsing rods, that can be used, but pendulums are easy to carry and use.
- Setting an intention is a vital element of dowsing. In each situation, it is important to ask clear questions in order to get information. The dowser also must set his or her intention to receive pure information from a positive source.
- Much of Grace's work concerns water. Not only can dowsers locate underground water sources, they can "use energy to change water, and use water to change energy." Grace suggests putting a thought form into the water, using intention, so that anything that touches the water becomes energized in a positive way. Grace says that drinking energized water can heal physical ailments and raise the consciousness of the individual and all of humanity.
- Grace believes that every individual has spirit guides, spiritual beings who stay close to humans and speak to their subconscious minds (some call them "guardian angels"). Grace suggests developing a close relationship with our spirit guides and calling upon them to assist in every dowsing procedure and to help identify and clear negative energy.
- The highest purpose of dowsing, Grace says, is to empower people. To this end, he has founded projects that involve clearing negative energy from schools, shelters for battered women, and other areas where women and children can be helped. Dowsing can be used to obtain the information necessary to clear negative energy and charge any area with positive energy.
