Home Remedy for the Removal of Facial Hair

Although laser treatment is an effective and popular method for facial-hair removal, many people prefer a more natural or affordable method to remove facial hair. Fortunately, you have several easy and safe home-remedy options for removing unwanted facial hair.

Shaving

Shaving is the most commonly used means for removing facial hair among men, and even some women. Many types of razors are available, from the disposable to straight to electric varieties. Regardless of the equipment you choose, improper shaving can irritate the skin, causing redness and ingrown hairs, your technique will match. Whether using an electric or straight razor, be sure to shave in the direction of your natural hair growth. Do not tighten the skin, which can cause inflammation. Finally, be sure to apply a moisturizer after shaving to ensure your skin does not dry out.

Besan And Turmeric

Create a paste out of besan and turmeric. (Besan is simply chickpea flour, and turmeric is a spice you can buy at any major grocery store.) Combine the two ingredients with water to make the paste, and apply to the areas of the face from which you want to remove facial hair. Let the mixture dry. Finally, rub it, and the hair, off with a towel.

Plucking

Plucking is a simple way to remove stray hairs that may occur on the face and neck. Simply use a pair of tweezers to grip the stray hair and give it a gentle tug. You may have to do this up to twice a week.

Bleaching with Lemon And Honey

If you are unable or unwilling to remove the hair, you might choose to bleach it instead. Store-bought bleaches can be very harmful to the facial skin and hair, however. Instead, use lemon—a natural bleaching agent that is safe for facial use. Simply combine equal amounts of lemon juice and honey in a bowl. Apply to the hair you wish to bleach. Leave the mixture in for 10 to 15 minutes and then wipe off. Do this on a daily basis to maintain.
