Speed Card Game Instructions
Speed is a two-player card game that is a variation of Spit. Spit players get 11 cards, but Speed players get five. The arrangement of the card piles is also slightly different. In both games, the object is to be the first player to get rid of his cards.

Card Setup
-
Using a standard deck, deal two piles of 10 cards in between you and the other player. These are the reserve piles. Place two cards face-down between the piles, one beside the other. Then deal stock card piles of 15 cards for each of you.
Play
-
Each player picks five cards from his stock pile and then you flip over the two cards in the center. As quickly as you can, place cards from your hand onto the center cards. You may play either the next highest or lowest card to the one showing. For example, if there is a 5 showing, you may play either a 4 or a 6.
If you run out of plays from your hand, draw new cards from your stock pile so that you have five. if neither players can play, turn new card over onto the center piles from the reserves. If all of those cards run out, take all of the cards except the top one from the center stacks, reshuffle them and use those as the reserve piles.
Play continues until one player is out of cards, both from his hand and his stockpile.
