Download and install the "Office Live Update" from the Microsoft Download Center (see "Resources"). This application includes a Microsoft Office Live add-in that will load extra menu options in the ribbon of Microsoft Office 2007 programs or a special Microsoft Office Live toolbar in earlier versions of Office programs. With these added options, you can open from and save to Microsoft Office Live directly from programs such as Word and Excel.
If you are sharing files or workspaces in Microsoft Office Live, use the "Activity" pane to review and keep track of activity on your workspace. Open the workspace you want to view. Click the "Activity" button in the top-right side of the workspace window. Scroll down the "Activity" pane on the right to view details such as times and dates files were reviewed, added or changed, as well as the name of the user who performed the activity.

Microsoft Office Live simplifies the process of building a professional website with user-friendly site design tools. When you are working in the site manager, right-click an area to see a contextual menu for the section. Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Z" to undo the last action. Press "Ctrl+Y" to redo an action. Press the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+A" to select everything in the current module.
If you are creating a website for your business, use your company logo to create a custom theme. Click "Design Site" on the Microsoft Office Live "Page Manager." Click the "Theme" drop-down button and then select "Custom Theme." Click "New" in the right side of the menu. Click the "Browse" button to locate your company logo on your computer and then click "Insert Image." The new theme with your company logo will be added to the list of themes. Click on it to customize fonts and colors.

Along with allowing you to create a free website with the domain name of your choice, Microsoft Office Live permits you to make several email addresses using that domain. You can access these email accounts by signing in to Microsoft Office Live using the email address you want to check, as well as the appropriate password. However, you can also use these email accounts without signing into Microsoft Office Live. Go to "Hotmail.com" or "Mail.Live.com." Enter the complete address of the email account you want to use in the "Windows Live ID" box. Enter the password for that email account in the "Password" box and click the "Sign In" button.
