The Best Time Share Companies

Timeshare investments are a way for individuals to spend weeks in a vacation property. While people purchase a certain amount of time in one specific property, they can use that property's timeshare affiliation to redeem vacation weeks at properties all over the world. Some of the companies that offer the best deals for timeshares include: RCI, Hyatt Timeshares and Hilton Grand Vacation Club.

RCI

  • RCI boasts the largest timeshare network worldwide. People who purchase a timeshare unit into the RCI system have access to more than 3,700 resorts. The average cost to purchase an RCI timeshare unit is $14,800. This will allow a person one week per year to stay at the unit. Owners are allowed to trade their week in their unit for week in another unit. Also, some timeshares follow a points system that allows people to use their points to upgrade to higher-class resorts.

RCI timeshares can be purchased in a variety of options including: Biennial Club, Deeded Agreements, Fixed Week, Floating Week, Fractional Ownership, Points or Right-to-Use Agreement. RCI also offers its members discounts on car rentals, vacation planning tools, and travel advisory warnings.

Hyatt Vacation Club

  • Hyatt timeshares are part of the Hyatt Hotel and resorts family and offer more than 400 hotels and 1,200 exchange resorts in their networks. Owners in the timeshare properties will receive discounts at the hotels, can earn money for referring other buyers and can use a complimentary shipping service to have their luggage and sports equipment delivered to their destination for free. In addition, owners can choose between vacation ownership or vacation rentals. A vacation rental is the first step to vacation ownership and gives people a chance to sneak-preview a resort before they want to buy in. Also once purchased, Hyatt allows for flexible exchanges into any of its other vacation properties. Finally, ownership can be transferred to your children at any time.

Hilton Vacation Club

  • Hilton Vacation club is similar to Hyatt because it's also tied to the Hilton family of hotels. However, Hilton Vacation Club is much more open to allowing vacation seekers to try out their club before purchase. Hilton typically gives away free or reduced three-, four- or five-night vacations to destinations for consumers to try their product out. Hilton has more than 3,700 resorts in its network of properties. Vacation weeks can also be exchanged at other properties. Some of the perks of buying into Hilton include: O.A.R.S. Adventure Travel, cruises, motorcycle motor home and yacht rentals and guided tours.
