Straight bangs allow you extreme versatility with your hairstyle. Straight bangs are best suited for oval, oblong and heart-shaped faces. Wider face shapes may not benefit as much from straight bangs; instead, opt for longer, sweeping bangs.

    The Cut

  1. There are many different straight bang options out there. You may want to consult your hairstylist to see what type of bang fits you the best. It is also a personal preference. Some opt for super short straight bangs that are reminiscent of the 1940s. On the other hand, there are those who like long, sexy bangs that fall into their eyes, a la Brigitte Bardot. Decide if you want a blunt straight bang or a lighter, feathered look with layers. Learn how to tame your bangs. They may have to be restyled in the morning, even though you straightened them the night before. However, with a few products and tools, this will be simple. You'll need a sculpting pomade, mousse and hairspray. As far as tools, depending on the look you want, you'll either need a flat iron or a comb and round brush.
  2. Styling

  3. Straight bangs play a major role in sleek looks. After washing and blow-drying your hair, flat iron it in one inch sections. Use the flat iron to straighten your bangs so they fall into your eyes. Apply a small amount of pomade and apply the product to your hair to add a sleek shine and soft hold. Now your options are practically limitless. You could wear your hair as is for a modern, sexy look. Wearing your hair in a low or medium ponytail allows straight bangs to bring attention to beautiful eyes because they will be the main focus as opposed to the rest of the hair.
  4. Versatile Looks

  5. Additionally, your can twist your hair into a classic bun, with your bangs giving it a modern edge. A fun contrast is straight bangs with wavy hair. To achieve this look, add a little styling mousse to towel dried hair after washing and blow-dry your hair out. Comb the bangs out to cover your forehead and use hot rollers to create seductive waves in the rest of your hair. When rolling your hair, make sure to roll away from the face. While rollers are cooling, use a round brush to blow out your bangs straight down. Use a bit of hairspray to keep bangs in place. Once the rollers have cooled completely, remove them and scrunch in a bit of mousse into the curls. For a fun change, use either a curling or crimping iron to curl or crimp every other section of hair, leaving straight pieces in between. Again, flat iron your bangs straight down and spray all over with hairspray to maintain the look.
