Shrek 2 Game Hints

Shrek 2 for the PlayStation 2 is loosely based on the adventures of the motion picture. Shrek 2 follows Shrek on his adventures through the Far Away Land on a journey to meet his new in-laws. Shrek 2 is accessible for players of all ages and supports four-player cooperative play. Each character has his own special ability (Triangle button) that, used with supporting characters, can easily eliminate tough enemies. This guide will show you when to use the special ability of each character for maximum effect.

Shrek

Use the Jump Attack (X, then Square) to stun the enemy, then use the Ogre Lifting ability (hold and then release Triangle) to throw the stunned enemy onto other enemies. The longer you hold the Triangle button, the further the enemy will be thrown.

Puss In Boots

Use the Jump Attack (X, then Square) as your first combat move; this helps reduce the amount of damage taken.

Princess Fiona

Use the Slow Time ability (Triangle) to run away when the health bar is low.

Donkey

Use the Jump Attack (X, then Square) to stun the enemy, then the Burro Blast attack (Triangle) to deliver a one-hit kill.

Gingerbread Man

Throw cookies (Triangle) by set traps to lure enemies to them. To throw cookies at enemies, hold the Triangle to initiate auto-aim and use the left control stick to toggle between enemies.

Lil Red

Throw apples (Triangle) to attack enemies from a distance. Hold the Triangle to initiate auto-aim, and use the left control stick to toggle between enemies. In close combat, use the kick and punch combos by pressing the Square four times.

Big Bad Wolf

Use the Huff n Puff attack (Triangle) to push enemies away or off cliffs.

Fairy

Use the Fairy Dust ability (Triangle) on enemies so that a teammate can attack while the enemy is in mid-air.
