Decorate the cover of the recipe scrapbook with assorted embellishments. These embellishments can be special scrapbooking stickers or pictures with a food or cooking theme or you could use other items to embellish the cover. Antique postcards, photos of food, recipes cut out from magazines, or even small scraps of wrapping paper with food motifs could all be used to decorate the cover of a recipe scrapbook.
Add a family name in large decorative letters and feature it prominently on the front of the recipe book, if desired. Alternatively, simply the word "Recipes" could be placed prominently on the cover of the recipe scrapbook.
A family photograph could also be featured on the front of the cookbook with pretty borders and ribbons surrounding it if the recipe book is being created for personal use and not as a gift. - Print your recipes out onto recipe cards with designs that match the theme of your recipe scrapbook. Place each recipe onto its own card. Each card can be mounted permanently onto the pages surrounded by an appropriate border. You could also make pocket pages and slip the recipe cards into the pockets so that they can be removed to use and then replaced back within the pages after they are used.

Create scrapbook pages that feature a recipe. Attach the recipe card with the recipe printed on it onto the page. Add scrapbooking embellishments to the page, such as pictures of the foods in the recipe or cooking and kitchen items. You also might add some kitchen tips or hints in another area on the page that would include useful information for anyone using the recipe scrapbook.
Use pretty borders and backgrounds behind the features on the pages to give them a pleasing and homey appearance. -
Add a pocket to the inside cover of the recipe scrapbook that will enable the cook to slip clipped recipes and other odds and ends into the cookbook. Decorate the inside of the cover with pretty stickers and other embellishments. Add the word "Recipes" to the outside of the pocket.
On the inside of the back cover place a lined piece of paper with the word "Memos" at the top. The cook receiving the recipe scrapbook can use this memo sheet to jot down any notes they wish to keep handy. Add other cooking stickers or embellishments to finish decorating the inside of the back cover.
