The key to reducing wrinkles and keeping your skin looking young and fresh is hydration and exfoliation. Many over-the-counter anti-wrinkle creams, however, contain harsh chemicals that may make your skin look better now, but you'll be worse for wear later on. Luckily, there are many ways to hydrate your skin and remove even the finest wrinkles using items right out of your pantry.
Avocado Hydration Cream
One of the best and easiest ways to hydrate your skin is with an avocado and almond or olive oil. Remove a ripe avocado from the skin and seed. Cut three slices. Set the sliced avocado in a bowl and add 5 almond oil drops. Almond oil should be in your spice cupboard along with the vanilla extract. If you don't have almond oil, substitute olive oil instead. Mash the two ingredients in a bowl until a paste or cream is formed. Gently apply the cream to your skin and wait five minutes. Remove the cream with warm water.
Grape Exfoliation Paste
To exfoliate your facial skin, all you need are grapes. Place a few grapes (as many as you need or want) in a bowl and crush them until they are mashed but still juicy. Do not crush them completely dry. Take the paste and smooth it over wrinkled skin. Leave the paste on for 15 minutes. The acidity of the grapes acts as a chemical peel, naturally removing dead skin and revealing the fresh skin underneath. Your face should feel healthy and taut after removing the paste. If you don't have grapes, pineapples will work the same way.
Honey and Milk Mask
Try making the perfect all-natural moisture mask using 2 tbsp. of honey and 2 tsp. of milk. Mix the two together and spread over skin in the form of a mask. Wear for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.
Potato and Applesauce Eye Cream
Fine wrinkles form around your eyes, giving away your age. These wrinkles can be particularly hard to get rid of, being so fine and close to your eyes. A potato and 2 tbsp. of unsweetened applesauce, however, can make these fine wrinkles disappear. Mix the two in a food processor, and apply the cream around your eyes. Place a warm, damp cloth over your face and wear the cream for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
While there are many recipes available, only one or two may work best for you. Try your hand at different recipes to find your perfect mix. Also, be sure to test a sample of your recipe on a small area of your skin before using the mix all over your face. Many people are allergic to certain foods, and your skin may become irritated when coming into contact with the wrong mix. Try a sample and if after three to four hours your skin is looking healthy, then you may proceed with the mix.
