Baby Food Jar Valentine Crafts

Though they may not seem romantic, you can use some of those old jars to create something special for your sweetie or your friends for Valentine's Day.

Message in a Jar

Create a variation on the adventurous "message in a bottle" aesthetic with a romantic message in a baby food jar. The sort, stout shape of a baby food jar makes it ideal for a message written or printed on a strip of paper that's short from top to bottom, but very long from end to end. Take advantage of this shape by giving your sweetie a long message in large letters; one she'll have to unroll as she goes. This format is great for writing a message, such as a love poem, a list of reasons you love her, or a message revealing the fun, secret plans you have in store for your special day together.

Candy Containers

Use a clean baby food jar as a container to hold a varied assortment of candies. The durability of these containers makes them an excellent way to distribute small gifts to a large group of people, such as a group of coworkers. You can purchase kits and supplies for these in your local craft store, including centerpiece items like a waterproof picture frame, which you can use to feature a photo of you and your sweetie sitting amidst a shower of snow or glitter. Be sure to use distilled water, however, rather than tap water, as this will stay clearer longer.
