Create a scrapbook calendar sure to please everyone

Scrapbooking is a popular hobby and calendars are one of the most popular gifts. Combine these two items and you have a useful present that is sure to please even the fussiest scrapbooker.

    Personalized and pretty

  1. Create a calendar that expresses a great deal of your personality by making pages that reflect something important to you for each month. Create a page using regular scrapbooking material for each month of the year. Copy, scan or photograph the finished scrapbook page and attach it either digitally or by hand to a large sheet of paper (11 by 14 inches works well). One half of the paper should have a graph printed or drawn on it that has the days of the month laid out. Secure all of the calendar pages together by stapling or using grommets and ribbon so that it hangs easily. Creating this type of calendar not only shows off your scrapbooking skills, but provides ideas and templates for the viewer.
  2. Templates and designs

Create a calendar that allows your favorite scrapbooker to add their special photos to the pages. Design a page completely for each month using your regular scrapbooking materials, but leaving space for photos. Put photo corners in place where you have left room for pictures. This will allow someone to put their own special snapshots on your designed page. Include a bag of embellishments that can be used for each month. Once the month is over, your scrapbooker can take the page and insert it into their favorite book.
  4. Everybody wins

  5. Giving tips and tricks to make the pages better means that everyone wins.

Giving tips and tricks to make the pages better means that everyone wins.
Fill your calendar with tips and tricks that your scrapbooker can try on a monthly basis. Make sure you attach samples, or take photos of the process. Design the page by using the photo and printing the tip to place on top. For example, take a photo of ribbons and scissors and print or write a tip about how to use ribbons on scrapbook pages on a clear spot in the photo. This will make up your decorated half of the calendar page. Pick out your 12 favorites and assign them to appropriate months. For example, you would not place a tip about making snowflakes on the page for July. Add additional short tips to specific days throughout the calendar for the viewer to try. If you are in a club and this calendar is being given to everyone, you can even assign "challenges" to different months and see how many people actually read the small print.
