Ice Cream Cone & Sprinkles
Ice Cream Cone & Sprinkles

Kids love to have fun and they love dessert. One way to satisfy them all the way around is to make dessert foods that are fun to eat. This may seem hard but it really is not. With a little imagination, you can serve your kids a fun dessert they will enjoy eating every time.

    Colorful Ice Cream Cones

  1. Ice cream cones are almost a dual treat. On one hand, you have a scoop of delicious ice cream and on the other hand, a sweet and crispy cone. Adding colorful sprinkles or candy pieces to the ice cream will make this frozen treat more creative. Kids will have fun making and eating this simple dessert food. Put a scoop of your children's favorite flavor of ice cream into either a waffle or a cake cone. Place a layer of sprinkles or crushed candy pieces on a plate. Let your kids roll the cone on the plate so the sprinkles will stick to ice cream. You can also dip the cones in chocolate syrup for a different flavored treat.
  2. Jell-O Shapes

  3. Jell-O is a fruity dessert that most kids love to eat, especially when you cut it into fun shapes. Pour 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Open a package of your favorite flavor of Jell-O and dump into a medium sized bowl. Pour the cup of hot water over the mix and stir. Next, add 1 cup of cold water to the mixture and stir together. Carefully pour the liquid Jell-O into a shallow baking pan and place in the fridge until chilled. When the Jell-O becomes solid, use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
  4. Dirt Cups

  5. Most kids love playing in dirt. With this dessert food, kids can eat through layers of mud and dirt and even some bugs or worms, all without getting in trouble. Put a box of instant chocolate pudding in a bowl and add 2 cups of 2 percent milk. Mix well, then place in the fridge for 15 minutes to thicken slightly.

Put about 15 Oreo cookies or chocolate chip cookies in a large Ziploc bag and carefully crush them. Add ½ cup of crushed cookies and 8 oz. of whipped cream to the pudding. Fill some small plastic cups ¾ of the way with the pudding mixture. Next, fill the cups the rest of the way with the cookie crumbs and place a gummy worm or insect on top. To make the dirt cups seem more realistic, add the gummies before the cookie crumbs so the kids dig through the dirt to find the worms or insects. Set the dirt cups back in the fridge to chill for another hour before serving.
