A wedding guest book doesn't need to be filled with plain white pages with lines of signatures. Get creative and incorporate the style of the couple by coordinating with the wedding theme or personalizing the book with photos. Think of the final book as a conversation piece that would look good on a coffee table, rather than stored in a box until an anniversary party.

    Photo Books

  1. Go to a local photo retailer that offers custom photo book printing. Select photos of the bride and groom to be included in the book, and leave a few blank pages for guests who will want to write a bit more. Choose photos of the couple when they were children, at events throughout school and while they were dating. Use the last few pages of the book for photos during their engagement and wedding planning. Supply photo safe scrapbooking pens in a variety of colors for the guests to use when signing the book. Or, print all the photos in black and white, and only supply ink that matches the wedding colors.
  2. Scrapbooks

  3. Add a special card to each wedding invitation, asking each guest to bring a copy of a photo showing them with the bride and groom. Informal photos from social outings, holidays and work gatherings are great options. When the guest arrives at the wedding reception, the photo can be added to a scrapbook, with a few hand written sentiments about the photo. The visual trip down memory lane will remind the wedding couple why they have chosen to celebrate with family and friends.
  4. Homemade Book

  5. Place a small note card sized piece of card stock at each guest's dinner plate. When the reception begins, ask the DJ to announce the purpose for the cards. Each guest may write their advice for a happy marriage, words of congratulations or share a funny anecdote about married life. Children can draw pictures for the couple to cherish. Ask each guest to sign the bottom right hand corner of the sheet. Have a member of the bridal party collect the cards, so they can be taken to a print shop for binding into a small book.
