Extra weight in the thighs is something that many individuals battle. Women tend to gain and keep weight around the thighs and many try to lose weight and bulk in the thigh area for years without success. You can do it by engaging in the right exercises and proper diet.

    Exercise Bike or Regular Bicycling

  1. If you want to lose weight around your thighs one of the best things you can do is ride an exercise bicycle or go for a bicycle ride that lasts at least 25 minutes four times a week or more. The exercise bicycle may be even better for you than a regular bike ride because you can push harder for longer without having to slow down. The ideal thigh exercise is standing on your exercise bicycle and peddling hard. On a regular bicycle you will face traffic and pedestrians and have to slow down.
  2. Swimming

  3. Swimming is an ideal exercise for working your legs and reshaping your thighs. The more you can swim the better off you are. Try to make it to a pool four or five times a week. By staying in your lane and swimming 20 to 30 minutes at a time, you have an excellent chance at converting fat into muscle. The best swimming exercise is actually the backstroke. Do not use your arms and just kick with your feet. The more you use your legs, the better it will be for reshaping your legs.
  4. Diet

  5. In order to lose fat in your body and specifically your thighs, make sure you eliminate as much fast as possible from your diet. Get rid of as much red meat as possible. Try to limit your red meat intake to once a week. Eat more chicken and fish. Vegetables and fruits need to be the primary portion of your diet. Stay away from candy, cake and junk foods. Drink at least two to three bottles of water every day.
