Chocolate-covered strawberries are a romantic dessert. Lovers often prepare them for their partners on special occasions, and they are a popular treat at wedding buffets. Chocolate-covered strawberries don't have to be reserved for romantic occasions. There are a number of different ways to prepare strawberries to suit any occasion.

    New Year's Eve

  1. New Year's Eve is a popular time to break out expensive treats. Chocolate-covered strawberries look expensive, but they won't break the bank. All that's needed to dress up strawberries for a festive New Year's party is melted white chocolate and gold leaf. Dip the berries in the melted white chocolate, then gently place gold leaf on the berries. If gold leaf is too hard to find, edible gold dust can also be used.
  2. Valentine's Day

  3. Chocolate-covered strawberries represent romance. To create cute berries for the most romantic day of the year, simply dip the berries in melted chocolate and top them with a conversation heart. Conversation hearts can even be purchased with adult-themed messages.
  4. Easter

  5. Easter berries couldn't be any easier to make. Melt white chocolate and separate it into three different bowls. Color two of the bowls of melted white chocolate with pastel food coloring. Dip the berries into the plain white chocolate, then drizzle them with the colored chocolate.
  6. Fourth of July

  7. Colored white chocolate also comes in handy for the Fourth of July. Color one bowl of white chocolate red, and another one blue. Dip the berries in plain white chocolate, then use a piping bag to put red stripes on the berries. Use a second piping bag to add blue stars.
  8. Halloween

  9. Halloween berries are fun for children to make. First, color some white chocolate with orange food coloring. Dip the berries into the chocolate and then add bat-shaped sprinkles to create a Halloween night sky scene.
  10. Thanksgiving

  11. All those bowls of candy corn are perfect inspiration for chocolate-covered strawberries. Simply color some white chocolate with yellow food coloring and some with orange. Dip the berries completely into the orange chocolate and then half way into the yellow and a quarter of the way into the white.
  12. Christmas

  13. The Christmas tree is one of the most recognizable symbols of Christmas. To create Christmas tree berries, dip the berries into white chocolate that has been colored green, then use small round candies to create ornaments on the "trees."
