- A massage soothes aching muscles and alleviates pain. Give your husband a gift certificate for a professional massage for Valentine's Day. Most masseurs will give half hour or whole hour massages. Some will come to your home with a portable table. Or you could send him away to a peaceful hour of relaxation. Deep Swedish massages are great for guys who work a physical job every day. If you like, you could give him a massage yourself. Set aside a time on Valentine's Day to treat your husband to a private massage. Prepare your bed with a clean sheet, dim the lights and warm the massage oil. Spend a half hour or whole hour without talking just rubbing those muscles. Make it a romantic massage by lighting some candles and use scented oils.
- Guys might not care for a dozen red roses, but two tickets to a ball game would be perfect. Give your husband a gift of something he's interested in. For the golfer that might be a pre-purchased voucher for some tee time at a local golf resort. Tuck the voucher or gift certificate in a basket of golf balls and tees. For the man who loves football, tuck tickets in with a jersey with the number of his favorite player. He might even love a DVD of past Super Bowls. If your husband is a music lover peruse his CD collection and fill in the gaps. What classic rock CD's are missing from his collection? Whatever his interests are, present them in interesting ways like wrapping them in layers. Hide them around the house and give him some clues to follow.
- Guys love food. Food gifts would be appropriate for Valentine's Day. Give your man some television time with a basket of treats put together just for him. Meat sticks like summer sausage and pepperoni are a favorite snack. Tuck them into a big basket along with a variety of cheeses, crackers and salted nuts. If he's a wine lover, give him a bottle he's never tried before. Beers are good, too. Give your husband a surprise by placing a variety of bottles in the basket. Sweet eaters might like some homemade or specialty candies like fudge. Better still create a romantic dinner for two. Skip the cooking and bring in a meal from his favorite restaurant.
