There are several things that you may need to do to change from a nursery friendly room to a toddler friendly princess themed room. The right decorating idea for toddler girl bedrooms can be fun to look for. While you are thinking about the safety features of this new room, it's also a time to think of whimsical and creative ways to make a new decorating statement for your little princess.

    Safety for a Princess

  1. Safety always comes first when your baby begins to toddle. Switching from a crib to a toddler bed is the first step in converting this space. Every child is different, thus the time frame of conversions from crib to bed will vary greatly. You may have purchased a crib that includes the conversion to a toddler bed. If you did not do this, look into purchasing a toddler bed that will work with a princess theme.
  2. Princess Bedding

  3. If you are looking to minimize costs, look for princess bedding that will match the current color scheme of fixtures and furniture in the room. Toddlerbedding.com offers many choices of toddler beds and bedding. If your current nursery is full of pastels and different shades of pink, you will be able to find toddler bedding that will match the accessories that you already have. Rosenberryroom.com has a princess toddler bed and a gorgeous faux silk bedspread.
  4. Princess Decor

  5. From princess chandeliers and satin pillows to fairy tale unicorns and vanity sets, there is a huge selection of princess items available for doing a complete makeover or for adding a few accessories. You can also stencil her walls with crowns, ball gowns and mirrors. Her favorite princess and fairy tale books can decorate bookshelves. Royal tea sets will look adorable on her toddler table and chairs
