Purchase a few select items of merchandise featuring the characters of Disney's "Bambi." A wall paper border, quilt, curtains, or wall hangings featuring Bambi and friends will really tie the look together. It will also provide you with an inspiration piece from which you can select colors and patterns, or get more ideas.
Don't make the room look like the Bambi section of the Disney store. If your budget is limited, this kind of merchandise can really eat it up quickly. In addition, a lot of merchandise has the potential to make the room look mass manufactured rather than allowing it to reflect your own style. The room will look much more unique if you select a few special Bambi pieces and work around them with your own creative ideas. -
Select a palette of pastels for the walls, such as mint green or sky blue. Bambi brings to mind a serene forest with furry creatures playing. Soft colors will will help capture that calm, cheerful mood.
Dress up the walls with an open field, or woodland theme. Paint things like flowers, grass, trees, birds and butterflies on them. Alternatively, you can use vinyl peel-and-stick nature decorations that can easily be removed or repositioned whenever you like.
Select a neutral color for carpeting, such as beige. Not only will a neutral color help to ground the room with the pastels, it will match just about any other theme when you redecorate. -
Select white or light natural wood furnishings to go with the Bambi theme. Wicker furniture will also look well as it is reminiscent of tree branches.
Soften the room with curtains, ruffles and cushions in pastels and neutral colors in keeping with the serene atmosphere.
Look for unique nature accents, such as a lamp shaped like a tree trunk, or turn a tree branch into a wall hanging by drying the wood and hot gluing silk leaves on the tips of the branches. Place a few stuffed animals or figurines featuring friendly looking woodland creatures, such as rabbits, squirrels, skunks, birds and turtles, on furniture surfaces.
