Quick Games for a Women's Group Meeting

Play games at women's group meetings to provide entertainment.

A women's group meeting gives ladies a chance to get together to discuss similar interests or to work on common projects. Many group meetings incorporate games or activities for women to participate in as icebreakers or to add a little excitement to the meeting's agenda. Quick games will stimulate the ladies who attend and allow them to feel more comfortable around one another.

1 Name Pantomime

Name pantomime is an icebreaker that allows women in a meeting to learn one another's names. The ladies begin by standing in a circle, arm-distance apart. For the game, each woman must state her name followed by an action word that starts with the first letter of the name. An example is "swimming Susan" or "flying Fran." As the women call out the action and name, they must pantomime the action. "Swimming Susan" would pretend to swim with her arms, and "flying Fran" would flap her arms up and down to pantomime the act of flying.

2 Product Tic-Tac-Toe

Product tic-tac-toe is a standard tic-tac-toe game the involves the use of beauty products. To play, give each woman at the group meeting a blank tic-tac-toe board. Put nine beauty products on display and instruct the women to write down one product for each square on the tic-tac-toe board, in any order they want. The hostess of the game calls out one product and the women have to cross it out on their boards. The first woman who gets three crossed-out squares in a row wins the tic-tac-toe game.

3 Alphabet Purse

Alphabet purse is a quick game that requires the use of women's purses. To play, each woman must bring her purse to the table. While the women grab their purses, the hostess of the meeting writes the letters A through Z on strips of paper, folds them and puts them into a bowl. The hostess draws a piece of paper out of the bowl and calls out the letter. The women must fumble through their purses to find an object that starts with the letter being called out. For instance, if the letter "G" is called, a woman may pull out gum. The first woman to display the item wins that round and collects a point. Whoever has the most points after all the letters are called out wins the game.

4 Memory Game

Memory games are an entertaining way to test women's memories. The hostess sets out a basket full of items, such as soap, perfume, bubble bath, sunglasses, lipstick, coin purse, hairbrush and other items that fit into a basket. The women playing the game have a couple of minutes to study the basket. Then, the hostess takes the basket away and gives each woman a piece of paper. The women have two minutes to write down all of the items that they remember were in the basket. When the time is up the woman who remembered the most accurate items wins the game.
