    1. Upgrade Your Operating System

      • The Samsung Blackjack comes with Windows Mobile 5.0 installed, but a more powerful operating system for your Blackjack is only a few clicks away. In addition to the operating system upgrade, the update also includes Microsoft Office Mobile, giving you Microsoft Office and Excel on your Blackjack. Check the Windows Mobile 6.0 upgrade link (see Resources).

      Operating System Shortcuts

      • A lot of convenience and productivity can be added to your phone once you have mastered shortcuts. If you would like to jump back to any program that is still running in the background, hold down the "Home" key (found in the upper left-hand corner of the keypad) to access the task manager. Pressing and holding the jog wheel will bring up a list of commonly used applications, which will display in a window on the right side of the screen. Selecting the "Edit" option in this window allows you to add or remove applications from the list, as well as reorder them for convenience. Toggling the Bluetooth functionality on and off requires that you hold the "FN" and "B" buttons on the keyboard, which allows you to extend your battery life by not leaving your Bluetooth capability enabled all of the time. Finally, holding down the "BACK" button located below the jog wheel on the right side of the phone will start the camera function.

      Web Surfing Shortcuts

      • While using Internet Explorer to surf the Web with your Blackjack, several shortcuts will make the otherwise frustrating and time-consuming process of surfing the Web more convenient. To erase an entire URL in the address bar, just hold down the "BACK" button in the upper right-hand corner of the keypad, which will also work in any text boxes as well. Pressing the "Y" or "B" button while Web browsing will advance the page up or down once.
