Decorating the Wedding Cake Table

There are so many details to think about when planning on the decor of your wedding, so its understandable many people don't realize they can decorate the wedding cake table. For extra drama and flare, it is very wise to plan how you are going to decorate the cake table. With a little forethought and planning, the table can be as memorable as the cake.

Table Cloth

Select a table cloth that reflects the decor of your wedding. If you are planning an elegant wedding with an elaborate cake, consider laying a large sheet of lace over top a white tablecloth. If you want the cake to be the star, scale back your plans for the table cloth and have it blend in with the color you have selected for your cake.
Sometimes a dark or bright colored table cloth helps a simple white cake stand out more. What ever your ideas, collect your fabric swatches and discuss the options with your baker to get his ideas on coordinating the table cloth and cake.
