Sebum plugs show up in the nose skin when dirt and facial oil blocks pores and normal oil secretion, creating blackheads. Sebum plugs are painless, unless infected, but may be sore to the touch. Besides the discomfort, sebum plugs are unattractive and difficult to cover with makeup. Remove these blemishes on your nose and restore your skin’s healthy look. There are several methods to use to remove the plugs and return your skin to normal secretion and perspiration.

Pore Strips

Cleanse your face with a deep cleanser. After washing, rinse it with cool/warm water.

Pat the skin dry with a towel. Apply the pore strip to the nose by removing the adhesive backing.

Center the strip over the bridge of the nose. Gently press the strip down on the skin smoothing out wrinkles and creases.

Allow the strip to dry for three to four minutes. Pull the adhesive off your nose gently. You will see sebum plugs on your pore strip.

Exfoliation

Wet your face with warm water. Wet a clean washcloth and wring out the excess water.

Apply exfoliating scrub to your nose and rub it in for one minute.

Rinse the scrub with warm water. Pat the skin dry.

Dab toner on a cotton ball. Rub the cotton ball over the nose area.

Removal Tool

Fill a sink with hot water. Place a towel over your head and breathe in the steam. The steam will loosen the sebum plugs in your skin.

Dip a blackhead removal tool tip in the hot water. Place the circular end it over the blackhead on your nose.

Press down evenly on the skin surrounding the blackhead. The pressure will cause the plug to pop out of the skin.

Remove the sebum plug with a warm cloth. Apply toner or an antiseptic to the open pore.
