You can watch live TV on the Internet at certain websites that provide streaming content, in which video is played directly from a website instead of from your computer's hard drive. The quality will depend on the strength and speed of your Internet connection. If you have a decent one, many websites offer a variety of live TV broadcasts for free.

    WWITV

  1. WWITV is a portal that features many live television shows. Although some of the links in the directory are to archived TV shows, several do give you live TV--including Christian shows, news programs, cartoons, sports, comedy and movies. You'll need Quicktime to view shows here.
  2. Live Online TV

  3. Live Online TV has a larger selection of live TV broadcasts from several countries. Some of the channels are streamed for Quicktime, but most are in more standard video formats. Some of the links will connect you to other websites that have streaming television.
  4. Channel Chooser

  5. Channel Chooser offers a wide selection. It features a channel that plays recent comedy movies. The site contains many advertisements.
