You can create a homemade barbecue grill quickly and easily when the need arises. All that is required are a few inexpensive items and a few moments of your time. In short order you will have a grill that will cook just about anything and is easy and safe to use.

    What You Will Need

  1. Collect six clean cinder blocks, two metal cooling racks, some charcoal briquettes, a spatula and serving dishes. The cooling racks should be similar to those that bakers use for cooling pies, cookies and cakes.
  2. Putting It Together

  3. Make sure the grill is built on dirt, grass or other non-flammable surface. Place three cinder blocks in a "U" shape, then place a cooling rack between the blocks. Place the next three cinder blocks over the other three to complete the "U" and weigh down the rack. Place the other rack on top of the completed "U."
  4. Simple to Use

  5. Pour a layer of charcoal briquettes onto the lower rack and light them. As soon as the coals glow red or white, it is time to began cooking.
