Kombucha, a fermented tea, has become the darling of the holistic medicine world. Besides being a healthy, vitamin-rich tea, kombucha can be applied topically to the skin and made into an effective cream for skin disorders such as acne, psoriasis and dry skin.
What You'll Need
15 g beeswax
100 ml olive oil
1 tbsp. wheat germ
10 ml calendula oil
2 tsp. kombucha tea
1 ml lavender essential oil
Heat the oils and wax together in a double boiler. Once the mixture has completely melted, remove from heat.
Let the mixture cool slightly, then add in the kombucha tea, wheat germ and lavender oil.
Pour into a jar with an airtight lid.
Massage a small amount into clean skin. Use twice daily. Store the leftovers in a cool, dark place.
