- Hair-replacement surgery and hair transplants are a way to go for women looking to have hair again after suffering from alopecia. The techniques are done by a cosmetic surgeon. Minoxidil is often required for two weeks prior to the surgery. The patient will have to massage the medicated ointment onto the scalp to prevent further hair loss. Use Ovation 3-step system. The system costs around $100 and comes with Ovation Color Therapy Shampoo, Cell Therapy Hair Growth Crème, and Crème Rinse. First clean the hair with the Color Therapy Shampoo. Towel dry and apply the Cell Therapy all over the head. Cover it with a plastic cap and let it stand for 30 minutes.
