- The easiest way to start flirting with a woman is to make eye contact with her and flash her a quick smile. If she also makes eye contact with you, and maintains the eye contact, that can mean she wants to see what you will do next. Give a quick and unassuming smile. Her response will determine what you will do next. If she smiles back, then break eye contact for a moment. After a brief break, look back to re-establish eye contact. If she is responsive again, then she's interested. If she doesn't return your initial smile, then the flirting should end there.
- After your positive experience with eye contact and a smile, the next step is to start up a conversation. Don't wait for her to come to you; more than likely she will not. If you are in a bar, buy her a drink, but don't expect the drink to be the key to romance. It's just a drink -- a way to break the ice. Stay at least an arm's length away from her to respect her space. Keep your hands to yourself, and start off by introducing yourself with your first name.
- Compliment her about the clothes she is wearing, the scent of her perfume, or how her hair looks. Avoid starting off with any compliments about her actual physical looks. Let the conversation flow a little before laying on the compliments about how physically attractive she is. As cliche as it sounds, it does help to have an opening line. But avoid "pick-up" lines. Open the conversation as a gentleman. Your opening line could be a compliment about what she is wearing, or it could be a quick one-line joke about the volume of the music in the club. Make your opening line as passive as possible. Continue to talk about her until she asks about you.
- It takes practice to make flirting seem natural. Some guys are good at it, and some guys have to work at it. Be prepared for your flirting to fail once in a while, and remember that the more you practice, the better you will become at it.
