Poster boards are one of those craft supplies you should always have on hand. Their ease of use and many colors make poster boards ideal for a wide range of crafts. Add glitter to the equation and you can create a board that stands out even more.

    Christmas

  1. Purchase a green sheet of poster board. You can also purchase a white sheet and paint it green. Draw a large Christmas tree on the poster board and then cut it out with a pair of scissors. Use some liquid glue to paint on some garland. This will go in a zigzag from the top of the tree to the bottom. Then sprinkle glitter over the wet glue. This will form the look of garland. Let the glue dry with the glitter on it and then shake the excess glitter off over a trash can. Add ornaments to the Christmas tree with some markers.
  2. Unicorn

  3. Unicorns are considered magical. You can create one of these beautiful creatures with a sheet of white poster board and some pink and silver glitter. Draw a horse on the piece of poster board with a pencil. If you aren't sure how, you can follow a picture from an encyclopedia or a piece of clip art (see Resources). Add a triangular horn on top of the horse's head. Cut the design out, paint the unicorn and add eyes, a nose and a mouth. Cover the horn with glue. Sprinkle pink and silver glitter over the glue. Wait for the glue to dry and then shake any excess glitter off in to a trash can.
  4. Child's Crown

  5. Measure your child's head and then use a ruler to draw a line of that size on a piece of poster board. Add an extra two inches to that. Use that line as the base for a crown. Make the top look like it has little triangle sticking up out of it. Cut the crown out and allow your child to color it. Add some spots of glue throughout the crown. Sprinkle gold glitter on the spots and then wait for the glue to dry. Shake off any excess glitter over a trash can. Add plastic jewels if you want and then staple the ends of the crown together.
