The Czech Republic currency is the koruna. If you have Czech money and are planning on traveling elsewhere in Europe, you'll have to convert your money to a different currency. The euro is the official currency of most European countries. In order to determine how much your korunas are worth in euros, do a conversion using the most recent currency exchange rates.

    Exchange Rates

  1. First you'll need to find the current exchange rates for the euro and koruna. Use a website that constantly updates these rates, such as XE (see Resources). Currency exchange rates change frequently, so it's important to use a site that has the most recent information. Once you have the rate, simple multiplication will tell you how many euros your korunas are worth at that rate.
  2. Calculating Euros

  3. You can also get the conversion automatically using a program, such as XE's. Hit the "More currencies" link since koruna isn't on the first page. Once you find both euros and korunas and input the number of korunas you have, click the "Go" button on the right. Of course, the result is if you exchanged right then, and it would be slightly less since there is usually a fee involved.
  4. Exchanging for Euros

  5. In order to exchange your Korunas, you'll have to go to a bank or a conversion kiosk at the airport. You can also use some credit cards, and you can even buy currency online at a site such as EZ Forex. This is a good option if there are no banks or kiosks open. This is also a good idea if you plan on converting your korunas ahead of time so you don't have to worry about it once you get to Europe.
