Cryptography

The National Security Administration's website offers its CryptoKids series of games for "America's future codemakers and codebreakers." Cryptograms are puzzles "in which each letter in a sentence is replaced by a different letter of the alphabet." They involve pattern skills and give a great sense of satisfaction when solved. There are Flash and HTML version of these puzzles.

NASA puzzles

NASA offers The Space Place, which includes slider puzzles of cool objects actually seen in space. You are presented with a picture that is divided into squares that are scrambled. You must click on the squares to put them back in order to recreate the picture.
