- Jigsaw puzzles can be fun and as an added bonus exercise your brain. Factmonster.com offers the Beacon Street Girls Jigsaw Puzzles.
- The National Security Administration's website offers its CryptoKids series of games for "America's future codemakers and codebreakers." Cryptograms are puzzles "in which each letter in a sentence is replaced by a different letter of the alphabet." They involve pattern skills and give a great sense of satisfaction when solved. There are Flash and HTML version of these puzzles.
- NASA offers The Space Place, which includes slider puzzles of cool objects actually seen in space. You are presented with a picture that is divided into squares that are scrambled. You must click on the squares to put them back in order to recreate the picture.
