Natural Way to Get a Better Erection

As men become older, the occasional difficulties of getting an erection become more frequent. It can be more difficult to get an erection, and the erections men do attain can be more flaccid than they might prefer, making sexual activity less enjoyable. There are drugs available such as Viagra, which promise to give a man a hard, lasting erection prior to having sex, but these drugs merely dilate your penis' blood vessels and don't improve libido or other sex factors.

    Improving Blood Flow

  1. Many times, the cause for poor erections or difficulty maintaining erections is poor circulation or blood flow. Your blood flow naturally worsens over time and can be exacerbated by poor health or an unhealthy lifestyle. Try to cut back on or stop smoking, if you are, and begin exercising regularly. You should also get on a steady sleep schedule and get enough sleep every night. Some herbs that are known to improve blood flow are rosemary, lavender and hawthorn. Chocolate is also believed to improve blood flow. You might also try acupuncture, which employs the strategic placement of small needles into your skin. Acupuncture is believed to stimulate the body.
  2. Herbal Remedies

  3. Several herbal supplements are known to improve your penis's blood flow. Among these is ginkgo biloba, which improves your entire body's blood flow. It does this by thinning out the blood, which can be dangerous if you are already on blood thinners or headed into surgery in the near future. You could also try ginseng brewed into tea, which will offer some relief from any erectile dysfunction-related issues, and unlike ginkgo biloba, it is proven to be an herb free of dangerous side effects. Although it is known to help improve the quality of your erections, you should not take the herbal supplement Yohimbe. While it battles and alleviates the psychological elements that may be affecting your erections, it also has a laundry list of potential side effects, like dizziness, nausea, rapid heart beat and high blood pressure.
