- Small hanging shutters with punched out star designs can be painted red, white and blue as a grouping for a wall hanging. Large barn stars in different sizes can also be red white and blue and scattered on a large wall. Red, white and blue welcome plaques with hand-drawn ribbons, hearts and star designs are reminiscent of a folk art design. Other examples of popular Americana include quotes and sayings on signs such as "bless our soldiers," "liberty," "America, land that I love," and "America the beautiful." All are trimmed out in red, white and blue with flag ribbon accents.
- The outdoors is a great place display patriotic Americana decor. A weathered white picket fence is the perfect backdrop to display wooden signs and colorful wreaths. Along the back of the fence, a rusty star garland can add a subtle contrast to the colorful accents. A folk-art-inspired deep blue birdhouse can be hung on the end of the fence. Grapevine wreaths and garlands with bright red, white or blue berries can also be intertwined for color. Large patriotic tin pockets displaying hearts with wire handles can be hung on the fence and filled with a colorful red annual flower arrangement. - Use star-studded Americana decor when entertaining . An old glory table cloth or tattered flag can be given a new life as it is proudly displayed on an outdoor dinner table for guests. Large star candles dipped in cinnamon provide great visuals and a welcoming scent. Tin stakes that hold metal candle holders with star and heart cutouts provide subtle lighting along a path for guests. Mini flags can be inserted throughout flower arrangements next to each guest's red, white or blue plate.
