Chronological formats are easy and sensible. Consider categorization for formats. Group together all birthday parties, new babies, weddings and park trips. -
Embellishments give scrapbooks texture and uniqueness. Old jeans that your son wore daily make a pretty blue background and are meaningful. Wrap ribbons around the top of a page or create cool designs with mismatched sizes and colors.

Flip through magazines and look for colorful pictures and words. Many periodicals contain informative articles about your interests, such as gardening or movies. Cut out these articles and place them next to your matching photos, ticket stubs or dried flowers.
