Motherload Game Tips
Motherload is an online flash game where you control a mining vehicle on Mars. The goal is to find precious metals underground and sell them to upgrade your vehicle and mine more materials. There are a number of dangers and special items you can find.

Dangers

There are three main obstacles. Earthquakes occasionally occur when you return to the surface. They don't hurt you but they can alter the tunnels that you've dug. There are also lava pockets, which are clearly visible but very dangerous. Gas pockets on the other hand are very dangerous because they are invisible and undetectable. They generally don't occur above -5,000 feet but you should start being careful around -4,500 feet.
Special Treasures

There are four types of treasures that are found deep beneath the surface, usually below -1,000 feet. The Dinosaur Fossil looks like a skull and some bones and is worth 1,000 dollars. The Treasure Chest looks like a chest overflowing with gold and is worth 5,000 dollars. The Martian Skeleton looks like a human skeleton with a weird skull and is worth 10,000 dollars. The Religious Artifact looks like an Egyptian ankh and is worth 50,000 dollars.
Digging Strategy

One strategy is to start right next to the refueling station and dig straight down. This will make sure that you have an opening to the surface that you can easily access and puts you near the fuel. There are also monetary bonuses you receive from your boss periodically as you go lower. Digging straight down will help you get to them more quickly. Also, more valuable materials are deeper down; skipping the cheaper materials at the top will get you richer faster. Once you've begun upgrading, just ignore materials that are below platinum, they're not worth the fuel it'll take to get them.
Upgrading

Wait until you've gotten your first few bonuses, then go for one of the higher level fuel tanks. After that, save until you can find one of the higher level drills. Combining the high amount of fuel and quickness of the advanced drill will allow you to quickly and efficiently collect materials and reach the bottom of the level.
Fighting the Boss

Once you get deep enough, you'll find Satan. Make sure you have a good amount of C4 with you. Once you beat him, you'll you'll start again with a "Satan's Head" in your inventory. Each time you complete a level you get more points for the materials you collect, but less money.
Cheat Codes

To enter a cheat go to the options menu and type cheat. "blingbling" adds $100,000 dollars to your cash. "penetrable" increases your hull strength by 1. "digdug" increases your drill strength by 1. "warp9" increases engine strength by 1. "guzzle" increases fuel tank size by one. "toocool" increases radiator strength by 1. "supersize" increases bay size by 1. "fillerup" refills your fuel. "ntouchable" fully upgrades all of your parts.
