Pizza Night
-
Consider a "make your own pizza" dinner. Either buy premade individual pizza crusts or buy the fresh dough in your bakery's bread section and create individual pizzas. Fill different bowls with fresh ingredients such as sauce, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, cooked sausage, chopped green onions, olives, sun-dried tomatoes and any other pizza topping. Bake these pizzas on a cookie sheet dusted with cornmeal in an oven preheated to 400 degrees for about 10 minutes.
MIxed-Grill Night
-
Similar to the Brazilian concept of mixed-grill meat dinners, buy sausage links, chicken breasts, top round beef, beef liver and shrimp. Cut each ingredient into chunks and season with kosher salt and pepper. Grill each skewer for about three to six minutes on each side. The shrimp will only take about two minutes on each side. Remove the meats from the skewers and serve on a large platter. You can also serve grilled vegetables. Have each dinner guest select which meats they want and serve with different sauces such as steak sauce, barbecue sauce and pesto for dipping.
