Cinderella Theme Ideas
A Cinderella theme event can be a magical experience for all age groups. Little girls can explore the fairytale, and be creative and imaginative. Older children and young adults can learn about the proper side of the fairy tale by arriving at "Cinderella's Ball."

Age Group
-
Decide which age group your Cinderella event is for. A Cinderella event can be an imaginative party for little girls who enjoy playing pretend. On the other hand, older kids or adults may prefer something that promotes gender interaction, such as an actual ball. If the event will only have older girls or young adults, a Cinderella theme party can be a sleepover that includes watching the movie "Cinderella" as a nostalgic way to revisit their youth.
Cinderella Craft Party
-
A craft party is well suited for young girls. Have the girls decorate a clear shoe with rhinestones, glitter pens, sequins and glue. If you have the budget for it, purchase enough shoes for the girls at the party, so that they can decorate their own shoes. Purchase a pair of shoes and have a shoe decorating competition between two groups.
Have the children make their own tiaras. Include rhinestones, sequins, glitter pens, markers and glue. Print a tiara design from on-line onto card stock paper.
Get the girls to create princess jewels. Find large beads and string, so that they can create their own customized necklaces or bracelets.
If you happen to have two or more boys, consider having a prince's jousting competition with safe plastic swords. Make sure that there is an adult supervising.
Play the "Cinderella" movie before or after the crafts are completed.
Cinderella Ball
-
A "Cinderella Ball" can be a way to introduce the etiquette of gender interaction for teens and young adults. Ask guests to arrive dressed well or in formal attire. Invite a ballroom dance instructor to teach the waltz and other modern ballroom dances. Also, if this ball is geared to be more educational, invite an etiquette coach to instruct guests on proper posture and eating habits.
