- Cheap vintage skateboards can often be found at yard sales or auctions and can be used to tie a skater-themed bedroom together. They not only make a great decoration for the bedroom, but they can also serve a purpose. Place them on shelf brackets screwed into the wall and they can be used as bookshelves or wall storage for CDs.
- If you or someone you know has some artistic ability, one wall of the bedroom can be used to paint a skater-themed mural. It should not require too much talent to sketch and paint a skating ramp along the wall. Silhouettes of skaters can then be placed along the ramp to make it look as if they are skateboarding on it.

Ask your skateboarder where you can get some fairly cheap skateboarding stickers. Get a small collection of these stickers and use them as a wall border, either around the room or just one wall.
Also, look around at places like Fathead.com for sharp-looking wall decals in a skater theme. These decals are easy to put up and take down, and they will not ruin the wall. You may even be able to find your skater's favorite professional skater. - While there is skater-themed bedding and curtains available on the market, your skater may consider himself too old for character-type bedding. Even if he is not too old, consider the fact that you will want him to be able to grow with the room and someday he may see this type of bedding as too childish. For a sharp look to complete the skater-themed bedroom, consider going with bold, solid colors for the bedding and curtains. A sharp red accented with black would be a great finishing touch to stylish bedroom.
- You can still find a use for some of those skater t-shirts that your skater has outgrown by framing them and using them as wall art. This is especially handy for those favorite tees that your skater is reluctant to part with.
