EPT Digital Pregnancy Test Instructions
Waiting to see if you're pregnant can be a nerve racking time. There are many pregnancy tests on the market that often are hard to read and understand. Faint lines can appear in the test window, sometimes making the results unclear and leaving many women confused. The EPT digital test eliminates the guessing. Before you perform the test, there are steps you need to follow in order to get an accurate reading.

Preparing
-
The EPT digital test is slightly different from the original EPT pregnancy test. The EPT digital pregnancy test comes in two parts: the portion that contains the digital readout and the test stick. Both of these need to be combined before you can take the test. To combine them, take them out of the foil package and remove the protective cap on the test stick. Line up the purple arrows on the test stick with the digital holder and insert the test stick into the holder until it clicks.
Urine Sample
-
A urine sample is required next. A sample can be obtained in one of two ways: urinating in a sterile cup or holding the test stick in your urine flow. If you choose to use a cup, after the sample is collected, dip the absorbent tip of the test stick into the urine sample for 15 seconds, making sure the absorbent tip stays pointed downwards. If you are using the urine flow method, place the absorbent tip of the test stick into the flow of urine for 5 to 7 seconds, again making sure the absorbent tip stays pointed down.
Results
-
In 20 to 30 seconds, after the urine sample is collected on the test strip, a ready symbol will begin flashing. This indicator lets you know the test is working and the sample is processing. During this time, it is important that the test stick remain in the digital readout portion of the test, so do not eject the stick. In three minutes, look into the oval window and it will read "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant." Sometimes, if the test is taken incorrectly, an "ERR" message will appear in the oval window. When this happens, a new test will have to be taken.
